The cheapest and fairest cities to meet: 10 European long-distance couples
Where should you meet halfway when you live in two different cities? We asked the Convergo engine for 10 European couples on well-known long-distance routes: for each one, the recommended destination in Balanced mode, the cheapest and the fairest, on real air fares.
Data, method and sample
Computed on 16 octobre 2026 by Convergo's public engine (the same one behind the app). Sample: flexible 2–3-night stays from 2 novembre 2026 to 2 décembre 2026, destinations across Europe, two travellers with no budgets and no direct-only constraint. Fares are real prices observed in recent Aviasales searches on the computation date; the “real cost” adds tickets, travel hours, stopovers and waits in euros.

What stands out
- Milan is the most recurrent recommendation: it wins for 5 of 10 couples; 5 distinct cities win overall.
- The cheapest weekend belongs to Dublin ↔ Warsaw (92 € of flights for two); the dearest to Amsterdam ↔ Lisbon (205 €).
- On average, with flexible dates, each couple gets about 45 waking hours together over 2–3 nights.
