Privacy policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

In short

  • You don’t need an account, and we use no profiling, advertising or analytics cookies: just one technical cookie that remembers your language, if you choose one.
  • The names you enter for the travelers are only used to show the results: we don’t store them.
  • We store searches (airports, dates, preferences, results) and anonymous usage statistics to improve the service.
  • Your IP address is only used to limit abuse: for live price checks we keep an encrypted version of it for 24 hours.

Who is the data controller

Francesco Mollica, Via San Vittore 100, 28921 Verbania (VB), Italy. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, write to francesco.mollica@outlook.com.

What data we process and why

Search data

To calculate the meeting point we use what you enter in the planner: the regions and countries you choose, dates or travel rules, length of stay, number of travelers, departure airports, optional budget and preference for direct flights. Travelers’ nicknames stay in your browser and in the results you see: they are not saved in our logs.

We keep a log of every search and every price check (parameters, airports, destination, prices found and provider response times), without names. We need it to run and improve the service and to keep its costs under control. Legal basis: performance of the service you request and our legitimate interest in improving it.

Planner usage statistics

We record the planner steps (for example “dates confirmed” or “search started”) with a random session identifier, which stays in your browser only while the tab is open (sessionStorage). The events contain neither names nor your IP. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding how the service is used.

IP address and usage limits

Your IP is used to prevent excessive use (too many searches or too many events in a short time): for these limits we keep it only in the server’s temporary memory. For live price checks, which cost us money on every search, we instead store an encrypted, truncated hash of the IP (not reversible without a secret key): entries older than 24 hours are deleted automatically at the next check. Legal basis: legitimate interest in the security of the service and in controlling costs.

Traffic and performance statistics

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count visits, pages, referrers, device type and loading speed. They work without cookies and only produce aggregate data. Legal basis: legitimate interest in measuring and improving the site.

Technical logs

Like any website, our hosting provider records requests to the server for a limited period (for example IP, date and time, page requested) for security and troubleshooting.

What stays in your browser

We use no profiling, advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookie is a technical one, NEXT_LOCALE, which we set only if you choose a language yourself (in the language switcher or in the suggestion shown when you arrive). It contains only the code of the language you chose, is a first-party cookie (set by this site), lasts 12 months and is used to open the site in that language next time.

Apart from this cookie, in your browser we only store the light or dark theme you choose (localStorage) and the statistics session identifier (sessionStorage, deleted when you close the tab).

To suggest a language, we read your device’s language and time zone only in your browser: we don’t send them to our servers and we don’t store them.

Since the only cookie is a technical one, we don’t ask for your consent to cookies.

Who receives the data

  • Vercel Inc.: website hosting, traffic and performance statistics, technical logs.
  • Turso (ChiselStrike Inc.): the database where we keep logs and statistics.
  • Travelpayouts / Aviasales and Duffel: we get fares and offers from them. Our server sends only airports and dates, never data that identifies you.

Booking links (for example Google Flights, Skyscanner or the airlines) take you to third-party sites, which have their own privacy policies. Aviasales links carry Convergo’s partner code from the Travelpayouts programme: if you book through them, Convergo earns a commission at no extra cost to you. The code identifies Convergo, not you.

Vercel and Turso are based in the United States and the data is stored on servers in the United States. The transfer is based on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission (Art. 46 GDPR).

How long we keep data

  • IP hash for live price checks: 24 hours (deleted at the next check).
  • Session identifier in the browser: until you close the tab.
  • Language cookie (NEXT_LOCALE), if you choose a language: 12 months.
  • Search logs and usage statistics: 12 months, then they are deleted automatically.

Your rights

You can request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest (Arts. 15–22 GDPR). Since we don’t collect names, emails or accounts, in most cases we are unable to link the logs to a person: when you write to us, please help us by giving the approximate date and time of the search.

If you believe the processing breaches the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) or with the supervisory authority of your country.

Changes

If the data we process or the providers we entrust it to change, we will update this page and the date at the top.
